Huge story from raw.
It was announced last night that Edge is to retire from wrestling with immediate effect. This is due to problems with his neck/spine. He will give the world heavyweight title up on smackdown this week. This is legitimate and not a storyline.

Weekend News
Trish Stratus has apprently upset alot of the divas who felt like she took away their mania spots according to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer.
He says that several WWE Divas weren't happy with the originally planned multi-women's tag team match being nixed from WrestleMania XXVII, leaving a scant few to participate in skits, and only Lay-Cool competing. This led to heat on Stratus and Polizzi as some girls felt they "took their spots" because unlike them, they're on the road all year long.
Scott Hall is in the news again. He appeared at a live event for Top Rope Promotions on Friday night and was in "no condition to perform." Hall could barely walk or stand up on his own and had to be held up by several people.
Ryan Drew from Top Rope Promotions sent word that Hall showed up to the building in the afternoon under the influence of something and was "belligerent and incoherent."
There was an autograph signing and Hall fell asleep during it and when he was awake, his signature consisted of a line, not a name. Here is a disturbing video of Hall, trying to enter the ring.
Regarding rumors of WWE talent cuts already being made, PWInsider.com reports that while no one has been officially let go yet, they are definitely on the horizon.
The cuts are being done to free up roster space as there are numerous young wrestlers waiting in the wings to be called up to the main roster. Between developmental, NXT and Tough Enough, WWE has over 70 men and women vying for spots on the main roster. The lone additions to the main roster so far this year have been Sin Cara, Brodus Clay and referee Scott Armstrong. The yearly turnover rate of main roster talent is approximately 30.
It is said that company officials have largely made up their minds on which wrestlers to cut ties with. The ax is expected to drop following the upcoming European tour, which concludes Sunday, April 24.
Goldust has said on Twitter he may retire soon
Kurt Angle has pleaded guilty to reckless driving.
Under the terms of the agreement, Angle would pay a $475 fine, serve one year of unsupervised probation and undergo a "chemical dependency evaluation."
The Grand Forks Herald reports Angle would "receive a suspended sentence of 10 days in jail."

Friday's News
WWE Superstars aired last night on WGN America for the final time due to network officials canceling it last month. The series, however, will continue to air internationally and on YouTube.com. The content of the series will not be changed. Be interesting to see how long that actually lasts.
According to Scott Hall's reps he was never hospitalized from a drugs overdose. Here is the statement.
Recent rumors regarding wrestler Scott Hall following a drug overdose were denied by Scott Hall's rep Geena Jinev Anac of Lightening Entertainment. "I just spoke to Scott, he is at home, doing fine in Orlando FL.
"Late last night Scott was at the hospital due to extremely low blood pressure & his doctor changed his blood pressure medication. Scott never overdosed last night, he is still recovering from last summer's double pneumonia & is being treated for heart. Scott regularly visits the hospital for blood work & checkups."
"All these rumors on the media are completely untrue & fabricated. "Scott is thankful to all his fans for their continuous support through thick and thin and looking forward in his future appearances throughout the states." Concluded Geena Jinev Anac
Trish Stratus has confirmed that John Morrison did indeed give her the cold shoulder over Wrestlemania weekend. "I got a bit of cold shoulder action, correct. John Morrison himself is amazing. He’s a great athlete. I was really looking forward to working with him. I thought it would be cool if we could do some stuff together. He didn't think it would be that cool. It happens.
"Hey whatever. It happens. You know he's into his thing and just didn’t think that I should part of his thing I guess, but I still admire him as an athlete, as a performer. I think he does a great job out there. Cold shoulder? Yeah I felt it. I was shunned. Some people are not smart maybe? You know they wrestle well, but maybe they’re not smart. I don’t know.”
At Sunday’s WrestleMania XXVII pay-per-view, we saw WWE Champion The Miz defy the odds and retain his title against John Cena. WWE officials are said to be thrilled with the evolution of character in recent months. It’s hard to believe how far he has come in just one year’s time, but The Miz has carried himself like a true champion and his recent media appearances promoting WrestleMania have solidified him as somebody the company knows they can rely on to represent them.
It’s worth noting that WWE’s long-term direction is to have The Miz eventually turn babyface. The Miz has received a lot of babyface reactions from live WWE crowds lately, in part due to him working against Cena, who is a face but gets so much heel heat.

Wednesday & Thursday news
Scott Hall aka Razor Ramon has been hospitalized due to a drug overdose according to reports this afternoon. I'm really hoping this is just a rumour.
The former Intercontinental Champion has been battling serious health issues over the past year. He was hospitalized last June for double pneumonia, which had affected both lungs. He was hospitalized again in August due to complications from pneumonia. After recovering, Hall checked into a WWE-sponsored rehabilitation facility, and checked out in early October. Hall was hospitalized weeks later as he needed a pacemaker implanted into his heart. Here's hoping to a speedy recovery to one of my all time favourites.
According to the WWE, Triple H and The Undertaker were both fined after Wrestlemania for using a chair shot to the head. Here is the statement from the WWE.
"Pursuant to WWE's Concussion policy, the stunt of using a folded metal chair shot to the head is prohibited. Triple H and The Undertaker have both been fined for violating this policy at WrestleMania XXVII. WWE penalizes through fine and/or suspension for violation of this policy, which is unchanged and still in effect.""
Anyone who believes that the two biggest superstars in the comapany actually got fined are naive.
Vince Mcmahon was apprently "out of his mind with stress" on Sunday before Wrestlemania, and made a lot of last minute changes to the card. Even on Raw on Monday he made a last minute massive call. Earlier in the day plans were for The Undertaker to have a rematch with HHH at Summerslam in August, and have Undertaker face John Cena at Wrestlemania 28. The Rocks decison to face Cena at next years Mania instead was made just hours before the match was announced.
Maryse could follow Michael Cole into the WWE GLAAD dog house. She accidently tweeted a message on twitter saying "Ur sooo gay......." As this was directed to no one in particular, she must of meant it as a direct message and unfortunatly tweeted it instead.
Stone Cold has said if he wanted to he could get back into the ring and wrestle full time for another two years at least, he feels his body is in perfect shape for it.
Heres a long bit of news from The Pro Wrestling Tourch
There is backstage heat on both John Morrison and Melina, reports Pro Wrestling Torch. It centers around the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII, which saw Morrison repeatedly brush partner Trish Stratus off.
During their post-match celebration, Stratus hugged Snooki and went to hug Morrison, but he had already turned his back on her. Morrison then led Snooki to the corner of the ring and used the Jersey Shore star as a shield, to guard himself from Stratus.
The backstory behind Morrison's awkward body language is that either he or Melina, his girlfriend, felt Stratus took her spot in the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII. The backstage belief is that he either holds Stratus in contempt for taking Melina's spot on the card, or had to portray himself as such so that she would believe he was rude to her.
Behind the scenes, Morrison rejected various ideas Stratus had for their match at WrestleMania XXVII, and was said to be very difficult to work with. His outright refusal to comply with any of her suggestions reportedly hurt her feelings. Word quickly spread amongst the locker room, garnering heat.
Many feel Morrison's unprofessional behavior will set back his standing in WWE since Stratus is highly regarded amongst company personnel.
While Morrison is considered a nice guy, he's not greatly respected amongst his peers. This dates back several years due to his real-life relationship with Melina. Particularly, he lost a lot of respect for allowing Melina to engage in a sexual relationship with former WWE talent Dave Bautista (a/k/a Batista) while the two were dating. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion made no qualms of being intimately involved with Melina in his 2007 autobiography, Batista Unleashed. He wrote:
"My wife thought I was sleeping with Melina right off the bat, while we were still married. It wasn't true, but it did make me feel guilty about being friends with her.
"Since then, as I've said, Melina and I have gotten closer and our relationship has become physical. That's caused a bit of controversy, but I don't give a shit. She's my friend, and I love her very much."
Proving that a Hardy loves nothing more than seeing their own name in the news for doing something stupid, Matt steps up this week to have a go at making headlines. At a hotel during Wrestlemania weekend Matt Hardy got into an altercation with members of the Tough Enough crew. Thats not a lot of details out yet about it, but Hardy and his girlfriend are now banned for life from the hotel.
JR has said he's not back announcing full time
Shawn Michaels revealed on Twitter that Triple H's Hall of Fame gift to him this past weekend was an engraved sterling silver, pearl handled, Colt .45 revolver.
During HBK's Hall of Fame speech, he said there was one person he wanted to thank, but that he wasn't able to say that peson's name. Many speculated this person was Ric Flair (who was in attendence at the ceremony), but Michaels wrote on Twitter this week that the mystery man was actually Vince McMahon. He tweeted:
"There seems 2b confusion on the "who" I couldn't mention during my speech. It was Vince. He doesn't want focus on him. U wanna c the real Vince watch the HOF ring presentation on the WWE Diary w/me. The rest is gimmick, don't believe what u read. It sounds like a schill but its fact. But of course that's jus 1 guys opinion that actually knows him...for 20+ yrs. Whadda I know

Tuesdays News
So it's on, Miami, Wrestlemania 28, April 1 2012. The Rock V John Cena. Imagine what the video package will be like. I've briefly covered this in the Raw results post, and there's also a video of the confrontation.
Talking of Wrestlemania 28, Prior to their epic match at Sunday's WrestleMania 27, sources report that WWE offials were discussing a Triple H vs. The Undertaker rematch for WrestleMania 28 in 2012 from Miami, Florida. Triple H's promo on Raw looked like there could be a rematch involved. Again there's a video on the results page.
Snooki has said her wrestling days are over! Thank god.
Apprently WWE did break the attendence record at the Georgia Dome (Read Mondays news)
TMZ.com reports that the people behind Pit Boss have teamed up with VH1 to produce a show centered around the wives of famous professional wrestlers.
According to the report, the show will star Sharmell Sullivan-Huffman (wife of Booker T), Stacy Carter (ex-wife of Jerry Lawler) and Jackie Haas (wife of Charlie Haas).
The show will be centered around Booker T’s wrestling school in Texas, which Sharmell helps run.
Raw Results 4/4/11

Raw the night after Wrestlemanai 27 stays in Atlanta Georgia for one more night, as is custom, and guess what..JR is back on commentary! JR and King, like the good old days!
Triple H starts the show off with a very good promo. He's basically saying how they both put it on the line and the war they went threw. He thanks Undertaker for bringing the best out of him, and says he will be waiting for him when he returns. Possible rematch? A really good promo by HHH though.Videos above if you want to check it out.
Coles out in that orange outfit, bragging about how he beat Jerry and the whole WWE universe is talking about him. Haha he's started his streak he's 1-0 at Mania! He gets into a verbal exchange with Jerry, and goads him into a match with Jack Swagger. Cole keeps getting involved and Jack makes him submit to the ankle lock. Cole starts spraying JR with his own BBQ sauce, JR chases him out of there.
Cole, Josh and Booker T are now on announce
Randy & Rey defeat CM Punk & Cody in a decent tag match
Triple H and Austin are shown backstage. Austin says he doesn’t know if it will happen again, but if it does, he'll be there. Austin puts out a hand. HHH takes Austin's hand. Austin tells HHH, "Hell of a match, man." Trip thanks Austin as they shake. Austin on his way to the ring.
Austin in the ring, and brings out the entire tough enough cast and introduces them all. The Miz and Riley come out. Miz is basically saying how he's the must see champion of all time, and his acomplishments last night in beating Cena and retaining his belt. Miz talking trash to Austin, asking if he wanted to hold his WWE title. Does he think he's tough enough? Miz tells them to clear the ring so they can have a match. Austin also says clear the ring, but is attacked by Miz and Riley. Miz escapes the ring as Austin starts taking it to Riley. Lou thesz press and a stunner to Riley! Austin celebrates with beers with the Tough Enough kids. Even dumps beer in the Cole mine and throws the cans at Cole.
Alberto Del Rio defeated Evan Bourne. ADR had a bust lip that was bleeding by the end of it.
Trish & John Morrison beat Vickie & Dolph.
Sheamus defeated Daniel Bryan in a decent match. This should of gone ahead at Mania and i know alot of people are upset that it didn't! Sheamus in new blue, white and red trunks! I guess its for his US Title. Don't look too bad. As Sheamus celebrates his victory, Sin Cara made his debut and attacked Sheamus, and boy did he look good! A very fast mover! Check the video out above, of the end of the match to see!
Cena out. Expected Rock to did what he did. Congratulates The Miz. He's earned everyones respect.
Cena calls out The Rock who obliges and comes out to a thunderous pop. Doing there usual trade of insults. The Rock challanges him to a match at Wrestlemania 28. Cena laughs at first. They shake hands. Its on. Thats going to be a HUGE match. Imagine the build up? For some reason The Corre attack them. Rock and Cena fight them off and shake hands again.
It's a shame we have to wait a year for this match! It is the current dream match, one everyone wants to see. By announcing now the anticipation by the time we get to Miami will be phenomenal. I'm sure we'll see The Rock a bit now up to Mania. Maybe he'll show up at Summerslam and 'remind' John Cena about their match. So will John enter the royal rumble? Or Elimination Chamber? There's no need to have a title on the line for a match like this, but theirs plenty of time now for WWE to plan this out. I hope they keep John a face too, but he will be booed out of the arena that night, without a doubt.
And thats your lot!

Huge news from Raw
At last nights Raw John Cena accepted The Rock's challenge for a match, but said it would happen at next years wrestlemania coming from The Rocks home town of Miami. The two shook hands And were then attacked by The Corre, they then fought them all off and shook hands again.
Mondays News
Bits of news from the day after Wrestlemania
During last nights event, Kurt Angle kept posting tweets about certain superstars stealing his moves, here are the reported tweets
"To WWE wrestlers, Don't use my Finish. Get more Creative. Hmmmm- Orton. Did I say that."
"I heard Orton had an Awesome match though. Ur welcome. Lol."
"I guess Swagger will use my Ankle Lock as well.Very creative. I'm the Best in the World. You Guys will never be Kurt Angle.can I get an AMEN."
"Kurt Angle will never die. TNA. WWE. I'm a leader. Not follower."
"Why would WWE use my finishes? Is it because I won't go back? R Orton- Angle Slam. M Cole- Ankle Lock? They have some nerve."
"Jerry Lawlor did it too. But He is a Legend. WWE really stuck it to Me.No Love lost. I'm glad that I helped Your biggest Event of the Year:)"
I'm Shamrock used the ankle lock before him, and people before Shamrock? And where did he get woooo from? Anyway here are his tweets later on ..
"To anyone I upset, I am sorry. I didn't watch W-mania last night. I DID get a lot of tweets during Show. About Orton, Swagger, etc.Who cares?"
"I think the whole thing is Halarious. How I upset all of U amazes me.I don't read dirt sheets, but u heard they r upset. They're 'dirt' sheets."
"I Hope that W-mania was entertaining for all of You, especially 'The Rock'. Oh, and Orton-relax, I won't beat ur ass. You can use my move:)."
"2 Randy Orton's credit, I Heard He had the best match of the night. Good for You! Btw,I Never used Shamrock's finish while he still wrestled."
"There's a big difference to using a Finish somebody did b4 U, and is doing while U still Wrestle. The fact is, I don't care. Sorry everybody."
"Lastly,I just found out somebody hacked into my Twitter account. Most of those tweets weren't from me.I just found out today. I will find out."
"Who would do this? I don't know why somebody would pretend to be me. I apologize for the remarks. I'm not a twitter guy so I rarely use it."
"On a side note,Randy and I discussed the Angle Slam.I am happy Orton used my Finish. As he put it,imitation is the sincerest form of flattery."
"Good Luck Randy. Thank You for reaching out to me!!!"
"Remember that Wrestlemania is an Event bigger than all of us. If You enjoyed it, great. That's most important. Social networking is a Bitch."
Someone feeling bitter perhaps?
Stone Cold & The Rock are both scheduled to appear on RAW tonight, with The Rock claiming to be making a special announcemenmt. Maybe he's having another break fromwrestling? I also think its Sin Cara's offical debut tonight, don't know too much about him yet, but from the way he hyped it should be exciting.
X-Pac was seen sitting front row of the event
WWE lied about setting the attendence record apprently. They claimed they had 71,617 in the Georgia Dome last night and that broke the record, but in February 2000 Backstreet boys had 73,337 there for their concert.
Tough Enough startes tonight, so expect a lot of hype on Raw
Alberto Del Rio's defeat to Edge last night means it has been 4 years in a row that the Royal Rumble winner has lost his title shot at Wrestlemania. Just change your name to John Cena. You'll get one every year.
Wrestlemania 27 Prediction Review
Another year, another Wrestlemania passes us by, So was this the most electrifying Wrestlemania of all time as The Rock predicted? Lets find out.. (Matches in same order as my predictions were)
Rey Mysterio v Cody Rhodes Winner: Cody Rhodes
This was a good match, like I thought it would be but i still feel there could of been a little more from these two. I predicted a Cody win as it would benefit him more and that's what we got. Expect Cody to be in the main event scene by the end of the year, much what like happened to Dolph.
The Corre v Kane, Big Show, Santino & Kofi Winner: Big Show, Kane, Santino & Kofi
This is the match that should of become a dark match, only went to a couple of minutes. Nothing good came of it!
Sheamus v Daniel Bryan US Title
I was actually looking forward to this match, but it got pulled from the event and turned into a dark match, then it got turned into a lumberjack match and soon into it Teddy Long came out and turned it into a over the top battle royal which Great Khali won. Why?
John Morrison, Trish & Snooki v Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool Winner: John Morrison, Trish & Snooki
Didn't go very long, and Dolph and John didn't have much to do! Another let down match which I did expect. Snooki got booed heavily when she entered the ring, but the fans reaction changed when she pulled off a cartwheel to a splash (check it out) The winners were never in doubt in this match. What a waste for John Morrison and Dolph Ziggler. Hopefully THEIR fued isn't over.
Randy Orton v CM Punk Winner: Randy Orton
I really thought they would give the win here to CM Punk and set him up for a good year as a top contender for the title but instead they went with the Randy Orton finishing off Nexus angle I presume? Superman Cena couldn't do it all year long, But Orton's managed it in about 2 months? Interesting. Not an amazing match, was a bit disapointed after such a big build up.
Jerry Lawler v Michael Cole w/ Jack Swagger Special Ref Stone ColdWinner: Jerry Lawler...5 minutes later changed to Michael Cole
A bad match. The crowd just wasn't into it at all, plus Cole didn't even get a stunner? Ok. Jerry did make Cole tap out to win the match, but after Austin stunned, Swagger & Booker T the Raw GM emailed in and awarded the match to Cole, Josh Matthews got a stunner too for delivering the news! Maybe this was WWE's way of having Jerry win the match, but they have given something for Cole's heel persona to still feed off. Not a good match.
Alberto Del Rio v Edge World Heavyweight Title Winner: Edge
To my shock, this match went out first! Was not expecting that, and was definatley not expecting an Edge win! When was his last Mania win? was it against Foley? Seems a while ago anyhow. The match Didn't go long, which was dissapointing but still a good bout for the time given! I still think it will be a triple threat at Extreme Rules, or maybe a tag match between ADR & Brodus Clay v Edge & Christian with one of the Canadians turning heel.
The Undertaker v Triple H Winner: The Undertaker
A great great match. Match of the night. Best match since Taker v HBK last year? Probably. Loads of great spots, including HHH hitting the tombstone. Taker going threw the announce table, and a chair to the head! Some incredible spots. Good ending too with HHH tapping out to Hells Gate after trying to hold on. Undertaker got stretchered out at the end, showed how hard both these men fought.
I can;t see the streak ever ending now. Not to anyone. And a lot of us were way off the mark about HBK!
John Cena v The Miz WWE Title Winner: The Miz
Apart from the double countout, this is more or less how I thought this main event would go. Miz winning due to Rocks interference. It wasn't a great match but all we were thinking was how would The Rock get involved. After such an awful Mania I wouldnt of been suprised if the match had ended with a double count out, but I can live with the way it ended. The Miz needed to win this, and win he did (He was even allowed to kick out of the attitude adjustment)
But what now for The Rock and John Cena? I can see a match. Summerslam? maybe too early.
Next years Mania in The Rocks home town of Mania? Very very likely.
It's a match this Wrestlemania could of done with. HHH and Taker put on a hell of a show, but the rest of the card was a huge disapointment for me.
What did you think?

Wrestlemania 27 Predictions
What a perfect event for my first blog! Wrestlemania 27 is hours away now, and i'm feeling quite excited for this years Mania, on first glance the card may not look as enjoyable as other years gone by, but to me it feels like a new era beggining for the WWE with many young superstars who have a perfect chance to try and steal the spot light on the grandest stage of them all and make their own Wrestlemania moment which in turn could push someone new into that main even spot which the WWE is needing in my opinion.
I've read on other sites people complaining about The Miz being in the main event at Mania, saying he's not worthy for it yet, but what a great oppertunity to change peoples perspective of The Miz, one win over Cena tonight, and that will do wonders for his carear so i'm really hoping to see a rare Mania upset for Cena and for people to start taking The Miz as a serious and credible main eventer.
So lets take a look at how i think it may go down in Atlanta!
Rey Mysterio v Cody Rhodes
Apprently rumors have it that Rey personally chose Cody to be his opponment for this event, and i think this could be one of the show stealers of the night. Cody has done very well with this slight change to his character his promos have been excellent and his in ring skills are always improving. I was one of those who thought it would be Ted running with the ball now, but Cody has shown he deffinatly has something to have been able to step out of Leagacys shadow and be getting his push. Very deserved, and i can see a very bright future for him. Outcome of the match? If Reys notouriuous ego steps aside, Cody would benefit more with the win and use it as another stepping stone towards the world title picture later this year.
Winner: Cody Rhodes
The Corre v Kane, Big Show, Santino & Kovloz?/Kofi?
Apprently at axxess they ran an angle where Kovloz got took out by The Corre? Unlucky big guy! I suppose you can't leave Kofi out of Mania, but i think it's a big mistake leaving out MITB this year, I know it has it's own PPV now but it really was a highlight at Mania! I'm not really interested in this match to be fair, wasn't Kane a psycho a couple of weeks ago? Never mind. I think Kevin Nash should of been in this match. Maybe Santino gets took out? Cant see it though. Would of made it a bit special to see Nash on the card. Corre really need to continue getting pushed
Winner: The Corre
Sheamus v Daniel Bryan US Title
Some websites are reporting due to time constraints this match may be left off the card and placed as a dark match which would be a huge disapointment to me as i'm a fan of both of these guys. The recent burial of Sheamus was baffling, the guy was a former 2 time WWE champion and had gone from being pushed like theres no tomorrow, to winning the king of the ring and to then jobbing to the likes of Mark Henry and Evan Bourne. It really made no sense! I did hate the King Sheamus gimmick, and the outfit and crown was hidious, but he must of really upset someone backstage (rumors are he started getting too arrogant) too of been demoted like that, but luckily for him the office must of forgave him because he came back into favor just in time for Wrestlemania season.
Daniel Bryan has had a mixed year, after the tie-gate inncedent and around Summerslam, he was one of the most popular wrestlers about, and quite deservingly too but since winning the US title and having those excellent matches with Ziggler and Miz , he has been quite under used aside from a mini fued with Ted and that awful angle with the Bellas so hopefully a feud with Sheamus will give him a boost, can't see this one ending yet. Sheamus retains.
Winner: Sheamus
John Morrison, Trish & Snooki v Dolph Ziggler & Lay-Cool
This is the best way they could get two of the most talented wrestlers , sorry 'superstars' into Mania? For shame WWE. I understand the money Snooki will generate, but i feel for the divas who work hard all year then to be left off the biggest show of the year and losing a big pay check. I have no idea how much Snooki will be getting paid, but i'm sure it has got some people who wouldn't normally be interested to watch Mania.
Just for the record, at the HOF last night, when she was seen on the screeen on the trailer, she was booed heavilly so that could be interesting tonight. John and Dolph deserve more than this at the moment, both had a great year, would of been a great one on one. Anyway, Snookis not being paid all that money to lose.
Winner: John Morrison, Trish & Snooki
Randy Orton v CM Punk
A pretty good build up for this match which started back at the Royal Rumble and has seen Randy punt every member of Nexus en route to Mania. I'm not Randys biggest fan, and i find him to be quite dull but if he avoids his 5 move signature, then this could be a very good match. It has been a very heated feud with nexus being eliminated out of the picture, but i'm not too sure Punk needed the Nexus in this storyline, they had run its course a long time ago, for me when Darren Young was kicked out it started its demise, as i didnt really enjoy the original members being kicked out, new members in, new leader, initiations etc etc.. but aside from that is there a better heel than CM Punk right now? Amazing in ring skills, amazing on the mic I can really see a Title run again in the very near future.
Everyone seems to be going for a Orton victory, but i can see this swinging Punks way.
Winner: CM Punk
Jerry Lawler v Michael Cole w/ Jack Swagger Special Ref Stone Cold
I have not enjoyed this one bit. It really hasn't been for me this build up. It seems they are so desperate to give Jerry a Mania match up for the first time that they have him up against a non wrestling commentator? I'm sure anyone could of thought of something better for him. Don't get me wrong the rise of Cole's heel personality has been a highlight of the year and he's done really well with it, but at the end of the day, he's a commentator. Expect run ins for this! I can see someone else becoming involved.. At least Stone Cold will be there though and I bet a lot of people can't wait to see him drop Cole with a stunner, which will be replayed quite a bit I would imagine! Jerrys winning this, with out a doubt.
Winner: Jerry Lawler
Alberto Del Rio v Edge World Heavyweight Title
This has the potential to be the match of the night...but you already know that! ADR has been on an incredible role since his debut and what a way to top it all off by winning the world heavyweight title at Wrestlemania! I've not really spoke to anyone who has Edge down for walking out still with the title around his waist as the momentum is clearly with ADR. The big question with most people is what role will Christian take in this match? I personally think he will turn heel, and cost Edge the match thus inserting himself into the title picture and having a triple threat match then at Extreme Rules, or if he doesn't turn heel tonight I can see it in the run up or at ER. Edge doesnt really make a habit of winning at Mania, and I cant see that trend ending tonight.
Winner: Alberto Del Rio
The Undertaker v Stin..Sorry... Triple H
The Rock, Sting, Wade Barret, Kane are names I heards reguarly linked with taking on Taker's streak at Mania, but despite all the rumors its office boy HHH instead for his first encounter at Mania with Taker ( Apprently were not allowed to remember Taker v HHH at Mania 17, so we all think that HHH actually stands a chance) This could be a very good match but what we have to think of is ring rust. Taker hasn't wrestled since October, HHH has had a couple of matches since April so this will not be the sharpest of contestes, but it has been made a no holds barred match which of course means they won't be stuck wrestling in the ring and gives them some leeway with what they can do with the match to make it memorable. Much like the Edge/ADR match a certain figure who's not invloved poses a few questions. Shawn Michaels. What will he do? Taker retired him last year after losing two years straight to him in two of the greatest matches of all time. I'm still not sure how it will go down. I think Shawn will cost HHH the match saying he couldn't let him do it. (Even after writing that I'm still changing my mind!) Anyway, the streak lives on.
Winner: The Undertaker 19-0
John Cena v The Miz WWE Title
This will be the 7th Wrestlemania in row that has has John Cena competing for the title. And people wonder why others are getting sick of him? John has a massive chance to really make The Miz tonight and this could set up Miz as a permanment main eventer, it's just a shame for Miz that he has been overshadowed by the return of the great one, The Rock. This has now turned into The Rock v John Cena with The Miz just an afterthought which is a big shame for him.
Let's turn our minds back..Wrestlemania 18 2002, Chris Jericho was defending his Undisputed Championship against the recently returned HHH, then Jericho Picked up HHH's ex wife, Stephanie, as his manager and it soon turned into HHH V Stephanie McMahon with Jericho as the afterthought. HHH won the title back that night, and Jericho slipped back down and took about 6 years to get back up to that main event level again. (In his book, Jericho does reveal his frustrations with that main event and his small burial after) Lets hope that won't be the case for The Miz.
What will be The Rock's role? I originally thought John Cena would win the match and Rock would raise his hand, hence passing the torch. After last Monday? I'm not so sure..will he cost John the match, thus setting up a match in the near future? Or will John turn heel which so many people think he needs to do? It's going to be hard to call, either way fans are in for a treat tonight. I think there could be a suprise in store..
Winner: The Miz
Thanks for reading! Hope you enjoy the event
